Join The Team, Live Your Dream!

Meet Taylor Young. He’s our Skier Services Supervisor, working on the front lines with our guests to get their resort experiences started off right! Originally from Olney Maryland, Taylor arrived in the Gunnison Valley in February of 2017. He was working a regular, full time gig… doing “what you’re supposed to do” and after some time in the normal 9 to 5 world, found he was ready for a change. A little inducement from a college buddy was all it took to get Taylor headed West. By the time he finally arrived, we were in the midst of a huge winter and his mind was blown by the seemingly...

Best Rides for Fall Color

Best Rides for Fall Color

Every year around the middle of September, the incredible blue, pink, white and yellow hues of wildflowers give way to the gold of the aspen leaves.  While to many, fall represents the end of summer and generates excitement for the upcoming winter season, others continue to revel in summer activities, albeit with cooler temperatures, fewer crowds and amazing foliage.

Below are a few of our favorite mountain bike trails to experience the awe-inspiring fall foliage in and around Crested Butte.

At the top of most lists is getting in shape for winter pow turns! Fall is a great time to get ahead of the game by riding and running as much as possible. With the lifts at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and the...

The Ultimate Running Bucket List

The Ultimate Running Bucket List

By Olympian Emma Coburn

Breathing hard, dirt under my feet, wildflowers up to my hips, winding in between Aspen trees. This is Crested Butte. This is my happy place, and this will be your new happy place too.

Crested Butte, Colorado is my favorite place in the world. It is also, in my opinion, the best place in the world to run. Sitting at 9,000ft with endless trails and dirt roads, Crested Butte is a runner’s paradise. I was lucky enough to grow up in Crested Butte and fell in love with running on the trails here.
